Geometric Magazine
We believe that the role of an artist is to make work — not to spend their days managing algorithms, courting gallerists, or performing visibility for platforms that don't understand them. Geometric Magazine exists to close that gap.
What we are
Geometric Magazine is an independent editorial platform dedicated to contemporary geometric art. We publish interviews, essays, studio visits, and exhibition reviews. We maintain a curated database of artists whose practice centres on geometric form — painting, sculpture, digital work, textile, installation.
We are not a gallery. We don't sell work. We don't represent artists. We document, contextualise, and amplify. We are a magazine in the oldest sense: a place where ideas and images circulate.
Why geometry
Geometric abstraction is one of the most enduring and least understood traditions in contemporary art. It has been marginalised by the market, caricatured as decoration, and dismissed as cold. None of this is true.
At its most rigorous, geometric art is a form of philosophy — an inquiry into perception, space, colour, structure, and meaning. From Mondrian to Molnár, from Cruz-Diez to Casey Reas, the tradition is alive, global, and urgently relevant.
How we work
We are selective. The artist database is not an open directory — it is a considered editorial selection. We add artists slowly, after careful thought. We are more interested in depth than in scale.
We are independent. We are not funded by galleries, institutions, or market interests. Our editorial decisions are ours alone.
The founder
Geometric Magazine was founded by a visual artist. The Instagram account that preceded this platform grew to nearly 3,000 followers through years of quiet, careful curation — no growth hacks, no collaborations for the sake of it.
This platform is the next step. We are building slowly, with intention. The goal is not to be the largest platform in this space — it is to be the most trusted one.
01
Curatorial integrity
Every artist in our database is there by editorial decision. We do not accept all submissions. Quality over quantity, always.
02
Independence
No gallery funding. No market interests. No advertorial content. Our editorial voice is entirely our own.
03
Long-form over feed
We publish less, and we publish well. Interviews, essays, and profiles that give artists the space their work deserves.
