Who we are

Geometric Magazine is an independent editorial platform dedicated to contemporary geometric art. This policy explains what information we collect through geometricmagazine.com, why we collect it, and how you can control it. For any question, contact us at hello@geometricmagazine.com.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us, through the following channels on this site:

• Newsletter signup — when you subscribe, your email address is collected and stored by our newsletter provider, Beehiiv, so we can send you the newsletter.
• Open call applications — when you apply to an open call, the information you submit (such as name, email, portfolio or website links, social media handle, artwork images, and your statement) is processed through our form provider, Web3Forms, and delivered to our inbox.
• Exhibition submissions — when you submit an exhibition for editorial review, the information you provide (such as gallery name, contact name and email, exhibition title and dates, location, website, Instagram handle, and a poster image link) is processed through Web3Forms and stored in a Google Sheets spreadsheet accessible only to the Geometric Magazine editorial team.
• General enquiries — any other messages sent via contact forms on the site are processed through Web3Forms and delivered to our inbox.

We also use Google Analytics to understand general site traffic — anonymised data such as which pages are visited, approximate location, and device/browser type. This may set cookies in your browser.

Why we collect it

• To send you the Geometric Magazine newsletter, if you've subscribed.
• To review and respond to open call submissions and general enquiries.
• To understand how people use the site, so we can improve it.

Third-party services we use

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to run this site. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf:

• Beehiiv — newsletter hosting and delivery.
• Web3Forms — processes and delivers form submissions (open call applications, exhibition submissions, contact messages).
• Google Sheets — exhibition submission data is stored in a Google-hosted spreadsheet, accessible only to the Geometric Magazine editorial team.
• Google Analytics — site traffic analytics.
• Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for this website.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone outside of these service providers.

How long we keep it

Newsletter email addresses are kept for as long as you remain subscribed. Open call and contact submissions are kept for as long as needed to review your application or respond to your message, and as a record of our open call process. Exhibition submissions are retained in our editorial spreadsheet for as long as the information is editorially relevant — you can request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you by emailing hello@geometricmagazine.com — we'll respond as soon as we can.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform grows. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
