About this open call
For its second season, Geometric Magazine turns to a single medium: painting. We are looking for painters working within the language of geometric abstraction: artists for whom form, structure, colour, and precision are the substance of the work, not its decoration.
This is a curatorial selection, not a registration. Every submission is reviewed personally. Up to twenty artists will be chosen, featured on the platform, and introduced to our growing international audience.
Our first season drew more than five hundred applications from around the world. Season II narrows the focus so the selection can go deeper into the field of geometric painting today.

What we look for
- A consistent, developed body of geometric painting
- Work where geometry is a language, not a surface pattern
- Any scale, any painting medium: oil, acrylic, tempera, mixed
- Any career stage, from emerging to established
- International, with no geographic limitation
- Work that exists outside trend cycles

- A profile on Geometric Magazine, featured at no cost
- Introduction in our newsletter to our growing international audience
- Editorial consideration for future interviews and essays
- Inclusion in our curated artist database
- Up to twenty artists selected this season

Applying is free, your copyright stays yours, and your details are only ever used to review your application. The full terms are below.

- Eligibility
- Open to painters at any career stage, anywhere in the world. Work must sit within geometric painting – oil, acrylic, tempera, or mixed painting media. One application per artist.
- Free to apply
- There is no fee to apply, and selected artists are never charged. Being featured on Geometric Magazine is free.
- Selection
- Every application is read personally. Up to twenty artists are chosen. The selection is curatorial and final, and we are not able to give individual feedback on applications we don’t select.
- Timeline
- Submissions run 15 September – 10 October 2026. Every applicant hears from us by 15 November 2026.
- Your links
- Any link you share must be publicly viewable, meaning anyone with the link can open it without signing in or requesting access. Private or expired links cannot be reviewed and are automatically disqualified.
- Rights & licence
- You keep full copyright in your work. By applying you confirm that you are its creator and give Geometric Magazine a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to reproduce the submitted images for editorial use – website, newsletter, and social media – always credited to you. You can ask us to remove your work at any time.
- Data & privacy
- The details in this form are stored only to review your application and, if you are selected, to feature you. They are never shared with or sold to third parties. The newsletter is optional and handled separately. Read our Privacy Policy.
